Front Upper Cylinder Bearing Cap Bolts May Be Too Long
Usage:
OFF-HIGHWAY TRUCKS793B (1HL195-UP)
Problem:
The 6V-8132 Bolts that mount the 5T-5202 Bearing Cap to the frame for the front suspension cylinder may be too long. If the tapped holes in the frame assembly were not drilled and tapped deep enough the 6V-8132 Bolts may bottom out before achieving proper torque.
Solution:
Check 6V-8132 Bolts (1) to be sure they are not bottomed out before achieving proper torque. If the bolts are too long, remove them. Replace the 6V-8132 Bolts with shorter 8T-0667 Bolts. The 6V-8132 Bolts are 120 mm (4.7 in) long. The 8T-0667 Bolts are 100 mm (3.9 in) long.
