NOTE: | This Program must be administered either before or after failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS46166" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The existing lift arm bucket pin bosses can develop cracks in the welds on certain 994K Large Wheel Loaders. If weld cracks are not repaired, they can transition into the lift arm plate and lead to lift arm failure. |

ACTION REQUIRED
Refer to M0102255, Special Instruction, "Rework Procedure for the Lift Arm B-Pin of Certain 994K Wheel Loaders", to complete this Rework Procedure. For access, the bucket should be removed. Refer to M0071308, Disassembly and Assembly, "Bucket - Remove and Install". Inspect the lift arm B-Pin boss weld. All four B-Pin bosses need to be inspected for cracking. - If no cracks are detected, the welds should be ground per M0102255, Special Instruction, section "B-Pin Boss Grinding". - If cracks are present, the cracks need to be repaired, B-pin boss weld built up, and welds ground. Refer to M0102255, Special Instruction, section "Repairing Cracks at the B-Pin Boss." This is only on the B-pin boss(s) with cracks. Non-cracked B-pin bosses should ground only. |
