Description of Change: A new bearing housing assembly is used in the turbocharger group used on the engines in the above machines. The new bearing housing eliminates the need for a turbine end shroud. With the shroud removed, the turbine end joint will include only two components instead of three. This will result in a more reliable bearing housing-to-turbine housing joint.
Adaptable To: The new 7E-9490 Bearing Housing Assembly replaces the former 9Y-1492 Bearing Housing Assembly and eliminates the need for 4W-1329 Turbine Wheel Shroud in the 7E-9492 Turbocharger Group and the 7E-9491 Cartridge Group.
