Description of Change: A camshaft journal is available for use when servicing a former camshaft segment with a current design camshaft segment. The current camshaft design has a thicker flange. See the referenced Engine News article for more details on the current design. This camshaft journal has bolt holes for a thin flange camshaft segment on one end and has bolt holes for a thick flange design on the other end. The camshaft journal is shown in the illustration. While using the camshaft journal, it is possible to remove a single thin flanged camshaft segment with the journal, and replace them with the camshaft journal and a current thick flanged camshaft segment. See the referenced guidelines on the removal and installation of a camshaft segment and journal.
Adaptable To: The 7E-7064 Camshaft Journal is available for use with the above engines.
