Usage:
Start By:
a. Remove the steering pilot control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Pilot Control Valve (STIC Steer) - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.
NOTE: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
NOTE: Do not mix the components in the steering pilot control valve. All components must be reinstalled in their original locations.
1. Put identification marks on all components of the steering pilot control valve for assembly purposes.
2. Remove boot (1) from the steering pilot control valve.
3. Remove two links (3), dowel (2) and handle (4).
4. Remove bolt (7), bracket (5) and retainer (6).
5. Remove two socket head screws (9) and spacer (8).
6. Remove plunger (11) and cap assembly (10).
7. Remove O-ring seal (12) and lip seal (13) from cap assembly (10). Remove retainer (14), spool assembly (15) and spring (16).
8. Repeat Steps 6 and 7 for the other assembly.
9. Disassemble each spool assembly (15) as follows:
a. Remove pin (21) and spool (22).
b. Remove screw (20), retainer (19), spring (18) and retainer (17).
10. Remove two valve assemblies (23).
11. Remove backup ring (27), O-ring seal (26), O-ring seal (25) and shims (24) from each valve assembly (23).
