Usage:
Start By:
a. Remove the secondary steering pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Secondary Steering) - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.
NOTE: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
1. Remove the four bolts and the washers that hold manifold (2) to secondary steering pump (1). Remove the manifold. Remove the D-ring seal from manifold (2).
2. Remove eight bolts (4) and the washers from the secondary steering pump. Remove flange assembly (3) from body assembly (5).
e. Remove O-ring seal (6) from flange assembly (3).
4. Remove O-ring seal (7) and backup ring (8) from both support rings in the flange assembly.
5. Remove two lip seals (9) and the retaining ring from the flange assembly.
6. Remove isolation plates (11) and retainer assembly (10) from the body assembly.
7. Remove pressure plate (11) from the body assembly.
8. Remove drive gear (12) and idler gear (13) from the body assembly.
9. Remove pressure plate (14) from the body assembly.
10. Using a seal pick, remove isolation plates (16) and retainer assembly (15) from the body assembly.
11. Remove O-ring seals (17) and (18), and the backup rings from the body assembly.
