Usage:
NOTE: Check the condition of all O-ring seals and of all parts. If any components are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.
1. Install O-ring seal (13) on pump (4).
2. Install the O-ring seal on adapter (10). Position adapter (10) on steering, brake and pilot pump (4). Install four bolts (12) that hold adapter (10) to the steering, brake and pilot pump.
3. Install the O-ring seal on check valve (11). Install check valve (11) on adapter (10).
4. Install Tooling (A) on steering, brake and pilot pump (4), as shown. Attach a hoist and a suitable lifting chain to Tooling (A). Put the steering, brake and pilot pump in position on the torque converter updrive gearbox. The weight of the steering, brake and pilot pump is 54 kg (119 lb).
5. Install two bolts (9) and the washers that hold the pump to the torque converter updrive gearbox.
6. Install two bolts (7) and the washers that hold pump bracket (8) (if equipped) to the steering, brake and pilot pump.
7. Connect hose assemblies (5) and (6) to pump (4).
8. Position tube assembly (2) on steering, brake and pilot pump (4), as shown. Tighten two clamps (1) on tube assembly (2). Install four bolts (3) and the washers that hold tube assembly (2) to pump (4).
End By:
a. Install the axle oil cooling pump (if equipped). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, Power Train, "Axle Oil Cooling Pump - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
b. Fill the hydraulic tank with oil to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the machine that is being serviced.
c. Remove the steering frame lock pin. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock Pin - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
