Description of Change: The O-ring seal is now servicable for several fuel injection pump groups for the engines listed above. The O-ring seal fits between the drive end of the fuel injection pump and the back side of the front housing. If the fuel injection pump is removed from the engine, check the condition of the O-ring seal. If the O-ring seal is damaged or if the O-ring seal is missing, the O-ring seal must be replaced.
(1) 161-2161 O-ring seal as installed on the fuel injection pump.
Adaptable To: The 161-2161 O-ring seal (1) is now servicable for the following fuel injection pump groups: 141-6392, 142-5071, 145-8647, 145-8656, 146-7798, 147-1735, 148-2950, 148-7107, 152-3934, 161-4487, 165-7606, 167-1179, and 167-1181. Contact your Caterpillar dealer for replacment of the O-ring seal.
