--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------
Description of Change: New combustion sensor groups are used on these engines. These new groups have an improved connector assembly between the wire assembly and extension assembly. This new connector assembly will better withstand damage from engine vibrations and repeated engagements. Also, the sensors in these new groups have a continuous center electrode with no internal connections.
Formerly, both low (9:1) and the high (10.5:1, 11:1) compression ratio engines used the same mounting and electrical sensor group. Now in order to optimize performance, two different mounting and electrical sensor groups are used. The only difference between the new groups is the combustion sensor. It is important that the correct combustion sensor be used for either low or high compression ratio engines.
Adaptable To:
9:1 Compression Ratio Engines Only
The new 159-3574 Mounting And Electrical Sensor Group replaces the former 117-1567 Mounting And Electrical Sensor Group. The former group is canceled. The differences between the components of the new 159-3574 Mounting And Electrical Sensor Group (Combustion Buffer) and the components of the former 117-1567 Mounting And Electrical Sensor Group are identified in Chart A and Illustration 1. The new 159-3219 Combustion Sensor replaces the former 122-5975 Combustion Sensor, used in the former 117-1567 Mounting And Electrical Sensor Group. The former combustion sensor is canceled. The new combustion sensor can be used in the former 117-1567 Mounting And Electrical Sensor Group.

1/2 10.5:1, 11:1 Compression Ratio (TA Luft Emission Levels)
The only difference between the new 162-7513 Mounting And Electrical Sensor Group and the new 159-3574 Mounting And Electrical Sensor Group is the new 162-7512 Sensor. This is a new short burn time combustion sensor for high compression ratio applications. It is for use with G3600 High Efficiency Engines operation at 1/2TA Luft Emissions Levels.
