New Coil Kits Replace Shielded Transformer{1554,1561}

G398A (73B),
G399 (49C) Engines

Description of Change: The former ignition shielded transformer used on these engines has been canceled and replaced by a specific coil kit for each engine. Each new coil kit includes the correct number of coils, spark plugs, grommets and the correct wiring harness for a specific engine. When servicing an engine with one of these new kits, all of the new components included in the kit should be used to replace all of the former components.

Adaptable To: The former 3N-8861 Shielded Transformer has be canceled and replaced by coil kits that are specific for each engine. The 159-2782 Coil Kit is for G379A (72B) Engines. The components of the 159-2782 Coil Kit are identified in Chart A. The 159-2783 Coil Kit is for G398A (73B) Engines. The components of the 159-2783 Coil Kit are identified in Chart B. The 159-2784 Coil Kit is for G399 (49C) Engines. The components of the 159-2784 Coil Kit are identified in Chart C.
