Removal Procedure for Generator Mounted Control Panel

1. Open the access panel (1).

2. Remove both of the retainer cable bolts (2) that are for the access panel (1).

3. Close the access panel (1).

4. Remove top panel mounting bolts (3). Remove the panel (4).

5. Open the access panel (1).

6. Disconnect harness assembly (5).

7. Open the access panel (6) that is beneath the Electronic Modular Control Panel (EMCP).

8. Disconnect the harness assembly (7).

9. Remove the front and the rear access panels (8).

10. Remove the four mounting bolts (9).

11. Install suitable lifting eyes in the locations (13) that are shown on the terminal box (10). The weight of terminal box (10) is approximately 73 kg (160 lb).

12. Provide enough lift in order to remove the mounting bolts (11). Repeat this step on the opposite side of the terminal box.

13. Use the suitable lifting device to remove terminal box (10).

Installation Procedure for Generator Mounted Control Panel

1. Attach a suitable lifting device to terminal box (10). The weight of terminal box (10) is approximately 73 kg (160 lb). Refer to Illustration 9.

2. Use the suitable lifting device in order to position terminal box (10).

3. Install bolts (11) and repeat this step on the opposite side. Refer to Illustration 10.

4. Install bolts (9). Repeat this step for the opposite side.

5. Install access panels (8). Repeat this step for the opposite side.

6. Connect harness assembly (7).

7. Position door (6) into the Closed position.

8. Position the cover. Install the mounting bolts (3).

11. Install bolt (2) and repeat this step for the opposite side.

12. Position the door into the Closed position.

Some 3000 frame generators are shipped with Wall Mount controls which are separate from the package and mounted by the customer or contractor. Illustration 19 is a typical example of a wall mounted control panel used for the 3000 frame generators.
