Sprocket Segment - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure

  1. Clearly mark segment (2) that is selected for removal. Move the machine forward or backward until segment (2) is in the correct position.

  1. Remove five nuts (1) and five bolts (3). Remove segment (2) .

Installation Procedure

  1. Before you install the sprocket segment, apply SAE 30W oil to the threads of the bolts (3). Place segment (2) on the final drive. Install bolts (3) and nuts (1) .

    Note: Install the bolts (3) with the washers against the final drive.

  1. Tighten nuts (1) to a torque of 300 ± 50 N·m (220 ± 40 lb ft). Then, tighten the nuts by an additional 120 degree turn. The final torque must be a minimum of 570 N·m (420 lb ft).
