Start By:
- Remove the inlet and exhaust valves. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Inlet and Exhaust Valves - Remove and Install".
- Use Tooling (A) in order to remove valve guides (1) from the cylinder head.

- Apply clean engine oil on the outside diameter of valve guide (1).

Illustration 3 g01000994 - Use Tooling (A) and (B) in order to install valve guides (1).
- The inside diameter of valve guide (1) after installation must be
9.484 ± 0.025 mm (0.3734 ± 0.0010 inch) .
End By:
- Install the inlet and exhaust valves. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Inlet and Exhaust Valves - Remove and Install".
