Start By:
- Remove the inlet and exhaust valves. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Inlet and Exhaust Valves - Remove and Install".
- Use Tooling (A) in order to remove valve seat insert (1).

- Remove the burrs from the valve seat bore.

Illustration 3 g01001097 - Use Tooling (A) in order to install new valve seat inserts (1). Do not increase the diameter of the extractor in valve seat inserts (1) when you install valve seat insert (1) in the cylinder head.
- Grind valve seat inserts (1) according to specifications. Refer to Specification, "Valves".
End By:
- Install the inlet and exhaust valves. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Inlet and Exhaust Valves - Remove and Install".
