- Install seals (13) in the housing.

- Install bearings (12) in the housing with Tooling (B) .

- Fill the sump in the housing with 3 L (3.17 qt) of clean oil.

- Install bearings (11) with Tooling (A) . Install shafts (10) .

- Raise the temperature of gear (9) to a maximum temperature of 135 °C (275 °F) and install the gear on shaft assembly (8) .

- Use a press to install the dowel in shaft assembly (8) to a height of 0.34 ± 0.025 mm (0.013 ± 0.0010 inch).
- Install shaft assembly (8) in the housing.

- Install gears (7) .
- Place the two housings in the original location and install bolts (4) .

- Install bolts (6) and service meter (5) .
- Install cover (3) , bolts (2) , and the washers . Install two bolts (1) . Install a new gasket.
