Confusion Generated Due To The Same Serial Number Prefixes Being Used At Different Facilities
Usage:

304.5 (ANR, WAK) MINI HYDRAULIC EXCAVATOR
304.5 (ANR, WAK) MINI HYDRAULIC EXCAVATOR
Problem:
Some confusion has been generated as a result of 303.5 and 304.5 Mini Hydraulic Excavators being manufactured/distributed from both Leicester and Sagami, where both facilities have utilized the same serial number prefixes: "AFW" for 303.5 machines and "ANR" for 304.5 machines. Although the machines are basically the same, there will be slight differences in the parts consists for each model due to locality.
Solution:
New serial number prefixes have been established for machines that are being manufactured and distributed from Leicester.
- * All 303.5 machines manufactured/distribute from Leicester after June 1, 2001, have the serial number prefix "DCH".
- * All 304.5 machines manufactured/distributed from Leicester after October 1, 2001, have the serial number prefix "WAK".
The previous prefixes of 303.5(AFW) and 304.5(ANR) continue to be used for machines that are manufactured/distributed from Sagami.
