Problem:
Caterpillar Engineering has recently received reports regarding the latest MTTT Drivetrain flash file, 183-1908. This drivetrain flash file did not properly support the calibration of 5/8" ECPC transmission valves, and as a result, the recommended calibration procedure was temporarily changed to accommodate this flash file.
Solution:
This concern has now been corrected with a new MTTT drivetrain flash file, 191-5019. This new flash file will allow proper calibration of either newer 1/2", or older 5/8" ECPC transmission valves. As before, the proper sequence when flashing files is as follows:
- 1. Flash the new file into the ECM
- 2. Warm the transmission to operating temperature
- 3. Do transmission engagement calibrations
- 4. Do transmission fill calibrations
