Problem:

The restriction port indicator may not function because the port is blocked by the 110-6331 Filter Element. If the restriction port is blocked, the restriction indicator may not alert to a dirty filter. An excessively dirty filter may cause damage to the engine.

Solution:

Check the 110-6331 Filter Element, part of the 110-2556 Air Cleaner Group in parts inventory and in the listed machines. There are two versions of the110-6331 Filter Element. Filter version (A) is supplied by the Parts System and Filter version (B) comes with the 110-2556 Air Cleaner Group. See Illustration 1 for the physical differences. Filter (A) may block the restriction port. FIlter (B) will not cause any problems.

If using Filter (A), inspect filters periodically rather than relying on the restriction port indicator. The Parts Department and Engineering are working to resolve this problem.

Illustration 1.

Filter (A) may cause the restriction port indicator not to function. FIlter (B) can be used in the 110-2556 Air Cleaner Group with no ill effects.
