The Capacity Of The Engine Oil Pan Alters The Recommended Engine Oil Change Interval

Usage:

EXCAVATORS365B L (9PZ1-298, 9TZ1-419)

Problem:

Certain 3196 Machine Engines are configured with a 149-1325 Oil Pan. The engine oil capacity for that pan is 31 L (8.2 gal). The reduced volume of engine oil in the pan alters the recommended oil change interval.

Solution:

The analysis of an engine oil sample is recommended at 250 Service Hours. It is recommended to change the engine oil at 250 Service Hours for the machines that are listed. The severe conditions of machine operation and the results of an engine oil analysis may mandate an engine oil change interval that is more frequent than the current recommendation. These factors should be considered in order to determine the optimum oil change interval.
