Usage:
LEXION 485 (4ZW) COMBINES
Problem:
An incorrect engine oil filter may have been factory installed on some of these combines. A 1R-0762 Fuel Filter (spin-on) is supposed to be installed on the engines in these combines. This fuel filter has an O-ring seal and should be tightened an additional 3/4 turn after the filter seal contacts the filter base. Some engines in these combines may be equipped with a 1R-0749 Fuel Filter (spin-on). This filter has a face type seal and should be tighten an additional 1 turn after the filter seal contacts the filter base. If the 1R-0749 Fuel Filter is tightened only 3/4 turn after the filter contacts the fuel filter base, a fuel leak may occur.
Solution:
Inspect all of the above combines for the correct engine fuel filter. All of these combines should be equipped with a 1R-0762 Fuel Filter. If an incorrect engine fuel filter is found, replace it immediately with a 1R-0762 Fuel Filter. This fuel filter should be tightened an additional 3/4turn after the filter seal contacts the filter base.
