PROBLEM
The existing NRS cooler can fail on certain 349F, and 352F Excavators. If the existing NRS cooler fails internally it can lead to coolant getting into the air system and potentially cause additional engine damage. |

ACTION REQUIRED
Replace failed NRS cooler with a new NRS cooler following the instructions outlined in Service Magazine, M0078034. For additional system checks that may be required, reference Special Instruction M0069778 "System Check after an NRS Cooler Failure for C9.3 through C18 Tier 4 Engines". Refer to Special Instruction M0070968 for proper coolant drain and fill procedure. Pressure test the coolant system to verify no leaks are present using the "Testing the Radiator and Cooling System for Leaks" procedure in UENR4302 prior to starting machine once reworks are completed. |
