NOTE: | This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs. The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS53172" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The existing upper coolant hose can fail on certain 374F and 390F Excavators. If the existing upper coolant hose fails, it will lead to a coolant leak. The hose can be replaced by a new design without the brass insert. |

ACTION REQUIRED
Please refer to SEBU6250, Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fluids/Filters Recommendation". Drain the coolant system using the lower hose drain valve. 1. Install a new 483-6617 Hose for 374F machines or 483-6618 Hose for 390F machines, using three 8T-4984 Band Clamps and tighten to a specified torque of 11 N.m. Secure the hose in place with two existing clamps and hardware. 2. Secure the 480-2986 Tee Adapter on the new hose protrusion using a 5D-1026 Clamp and tighten to a specified torque of 4.5 N.m. Orient per Images below. 3. Reconnect the existing vent hose between the shunt tank and tee adapter using a 5D-1026 Hose Clamp and tighten to a specified torque of 4.5 N.m. 4. Install the new 5P-1505 Vent Hose (76.5cm for 374F machines or 79.5cm for 390F machines) between the tee adapter and the water pump fitting, using 5D-1026 Hose Clamps (2), and tighten to a specified torque of 4.5 N.m. 5. Refill with coolant and check for leaks. |
