An Improved Power Train Installation Procedure Is Now Available for 793F Off-Highway Trucks {7000, 7960}

Description of Change: An improved power train installation procedure is now available for the machines listed above. The procedure will aid assembly of the drive shaft group during initial truck assembly and increase the service life of the transmission.
Adaptable To: For a complete list of parts and the procedure for installing the drive shaft group for 793F Off-Highway Trucks, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, UENR2257, "Power Train - Install - Standard".
The special instruction can be found on the Caterpillar service information system (SIS) and through the normal literature distribution system at your local Cat dealer.
The improved power train assembly procedure is adaptable to machines and effective in production with machines that are listed in Table 1.
