New Cylinder Head Bolt Tightening Procedure{1100}

The cylinder head bolt tightening procedure has changed. Formerly, the two 3/8 inch bolts were not included in the procedure. Add the statement that follows to the bolt tightening procedure:

After the final tightening of the 3/4 inch head bolts, tighten the two 3/8 inch bolts to a torque of 55 ± 10 N·m (40 ± 7 lb ft). The illustration shows the location of the two 3/8 inch bolts.

Currently, none of the Service Manual Modules include this information. The new information will be included when the modules are revised. Make note of this information in the appropriate locations in the Service Manual Modules.
