Description of Change: A new oil pump and associated components are available as a service replacement for the former oil pump. The former oil pump is no longer available.

Adaptable To: The former 8L8541 Oil Pump, used on the above marine transmissions, is no longer available. In those applications, the components identified in Chart A and Illustration 1 can be used as a service replacement for the former oil pump. Illustration 2 shows the locations of the 6I3597 Tube and 6I3738 Hose for "Standard Rotation."
Illustration 3 shows the locations of the 6I3737 Tube and 6I3738 Hose for "Opposite Rotation." Chart B lists the components that are removed and not reused when replacing the former 8L8541 Oil Pump.
