Reference: Service Magazine; April 1, 1991; Page 9; "Remanufactured Type 1 Fuel Injector Assembly Available For 3500 Family Of Engines Equipped With UG8 Governors."

This article replaces the article with the same title in the May 18, 1992 issue of Service Magazine.

There is some confusion as to what remanufactured fuel injectors are available for the 3500 Family Of Engines. There are also questions about which remanufactured fuel injector is the correct replacement for the various new fuel injectors used in these engines. The chart that follows provides this information.

Most 3500 Engines can use either Type 1 or Type 2 injectors, and the injectors can be used in mixed sets. Early 3500 Marine Engines that are equipped with UG8 Governors require Type 1 injectors. Remanufactured injector part numbers are available that will insure the receipt of only Type 1 injectors for these applications.

In the following chart, the abbreviation CRB stands for Canceled Replaced By.
