D350ESeries II (S/N: 2XW1-UP)
D400ESeries II (S/N: 8PS1-UP)

Description of Change: Improved hoist cylinders are used on the listed machines. The new hoist cylinders incorporate an improved piston design that uses an additional wear ring and a placement of the seals that is more balanced. The new piston assemblies will improve the longitudinal strength of the hoist cylinders.

Adaptable To: The new hoist cylinders that are listed in Table 1 replace the former hoist cylinders that are listed in Table 2 for the listed machines. The new piston assemblies that are listed are direct replacements of the former piston assemblies that are used in the former hoist cylinders.

The new hoist cylinders are effective on 725 (S/N: B1L942-UP), 730 (S/N: B1M867-UP), 735 (S/N: B1N571-UP) and 740 (S/N: B1P1425-UP).

The new hoist cylinders are direct replacements of the former hoist cylinders on all earlier machines.

The new piston assemblies are direct replacements of the former piston assemblies in the former hoist cylinders. When you order a former piston, a new piston and one wear ring will be shipped. Refer to Table 3.

Note: When a new piston is ordered, an additional wear ring will be shipped with the new piston. This ensures that sufficient wear rings are present for the assembly of the hoist cylinder.

New pistons (1) use an arrangement of one seal (2) and three wear rings (3). Refer to Illustration 2.

When you service a new hoist cylinder or a former hoist cylinder that is installed with a new piston, use three new wear rings instead of two wear rings.
