Reclaimer Mixer:

RM-300 (S/N: BWR1-UP)

Description of Change: An improved location for the dipstick is now used on rotor transmissions on Reclaimer Mixers.

Adaptable To: The new dipstick is installed directly on top of the rotor transmission. The new dipstick will provide a more accurate indication of the oil level of the rotor transmission.

The new location of the dipstick is effective with the following Reclaimer Mixers:

• RM-300 (S/N: BWR239)

• RM-300 (S/N: BWR1-238)

NOTICE
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

1. Drain the oil from the rotor transmission in an appropriate container.

2. Remove tube assembly (6). Install cap assembly (2) and O-ring seal (1) .

3. Remove the existing plate (7), existing bolts (8), and the existing gasket from top of the rotor transmission.

4. Install gasket (5) under plate assembly (3). Install existing bolts (8) on plate assembly (3) .

5. Install oil level gauge assembly (4) and O-ring seal (1) on plate assembly (3) .

6. Check the oil level of the rotor transmission of the new dipstick. If necessary, refill the rotor transmission with TDTO SAE 50.
