Safety Vent Caps For Caterpillar Batteries

Usage:

All Caterpillar Batteries

Description of Change: When electrolysis takes place in a battery, a combustible gas is released into the battery air chamber. This gas then passes through the vent cap and into the atmosphere. Any fire or spark will ignite this gas and the flames that result can possibly go through the cap vent and into the battery. When this happens, the battery will explode.

All new Caterpillar batteries have safety vent caps which prevent the passage of flames. These safety vent caps are available as a replacement for all former 7S5401 Plug Caps.

Adaptable As: Direct replacement.

NOTE: Each gang vent assembly has the correct number of gangs for the specific battery.
