Usage:
3408, 3412 Engines
A new procedure is used to tighten the flywheel housing bolts. This will prevent leaks at the gasket between the flywheel housing and the cylinder block. If oil leaks have been a problem at this location on an engine, the installation of a new gasket and use of the new tightening procedure will stop the leaks. Do not use a gasket sealer with the gasket. The gasket sealer can cause the gasket to become soft and the result is another oil leak. Make a note of the new procedure in your Service Manuals until the Service Manuals are changed.
