C-9 Engine for MT735, MT745, MT755, MT765, MTC735, MTC745, MTC755, and MTC765 Agricultural Tractors Caterpillar

CID 0264 FMI 08 Decel Throttle Position signal abnormal

Usage:

MTC735 812
Conditions Which Generate This Code:

The ECM detects all of the following conditions:

  • The duty cycle for the sensor is greater than 99% or less than 1% for one second OR the sensor frequency is greater than 1000 Hz or less than 150 Hz for two seconds.

  • The programmable parameter for the Deceleration Throttle is enabled.

  • The ECM has been powered for at least three seconds.

System Response:

The ECM will log the diagnostic code. The diagnostic code may be viewed on a display module or on ET.

  • The deceleration throttle is disabled.

Note: If the engine is being operated above 1000 rpm, the ECM will drop the engine speed to 1000 rpm. If the engine is being operated below 1000 rpm, the ECM will maintain the engine speed.

Test Step 1. Perform the following test: Decelerator Position Sensor Circuit - Test

Results:

  • OK - Stop.
