Note: 8T-0855 Pressure Gauge is part of 4C-4890 Hydraulic Test Fitting Gp.

To prevent personal injury when checks are made while the machine is in operation, make sure only approved personnel are on the machine. Keep other personnel off the machine and in view of the operator. Make sure checks are done in an open area.

The Propel Transmission is Located in Front of the Mixing Chamber and in the Center of the Machine. (1) Power shift transmission (propel) (2) Test "Port M"

1. The propel transmission is tested at "Port M" (2) on propel transmission (1) .

2. Assemble the 8T-0855 Pressure Gauge with the proper fittings from the 4C-4890 Hydraulic Test Fitting Gp .

3. Apply the parking brake.

4. Move the propel control lever to the NEUTRAL position.

5. Move speed selector switch (3) to "Speed 1" (4) .

6. Attach 8T-0855 Pressure Gauge to "Port M" (2) .

7. Start the engine. Run the engine at high idle.

8. Pressure reading should be 1380 kPa to 1590 kPa (200 psi to 230 psi).

9. As you observe this pressure reading, move speed selector switch (3) to "Speed 2" (5). The pressure should drop momentarily. The pressure should then stabilize from 1380 kPa (200 psi) to 1590 kPa (230 psi).

10. As you observe this pressure reading, move speed selector switch (3) to "Speed 3" (6). The pressure should drop momentarily. The pressure should then stabilize from 1380 kPa (200 psi) to 1590 kPa (230 psi).

11. Stop the engine.

12. Remove the test equipment.

    Note: Pressure is not adjustable, but the pressure test will give an indication of the performance of the transmission. Refer to the troubleshooting section of this manual for a possible solution to a transmission failure.
