New Tightening Procedure for the Base of the Valve Mechanism Cover {1107}

The base for the valve mechanism cover has a new tightening procedure. The tightening procedure prevents wrinkles from forming in the gasket. This procedure will prevent oil leaks. Refer to Illustration 1 for the proper tightening sequence. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 28 ± 7 N·m (21 ± 5 lb ft).
