Screed Plate Leveling

Usage:

8-16B BLK

  • Raise the screed to a position that is high enough to extend the lock pins. Extend the lock pins. Lower the screed onto the lock pins.

    1. Check the plates for flatness with a stringline or a straight edge. Add shims or remove shims across the bull nose of the screed. Add shims or remove shims across the leading edge of the main screed plate.

    1. Check the front of the rear alignment of the extender plates with the main screed. With the rear edge of the extender plate level with the main screed plate, the front edge of the extender plate should have a 3.175 mm (0.125 inch) gap between the plate and the straight edge. Perform the check 102 mm (4 inch) from the outside edge of the screed plate. Check five points across the entire screed with a level that is 1.2 m (4 ft) long.

    1. Use the screw adjusters in order to level the rear edge of the screed plate. Turn the screw adjusters clockwise for 1/6 of a turn in order to adjust the screed plate 0.3556 mm (0.014 inch).

To lower the plate, turn the adjuster screw clockwise. To raise the plate, turn the adjuster screw counterclockwise.

    1. Repeat Step 3.
