In this mode the technician can check each alert indicator and display segment of the EMC. When this mode is selected, the EMC will light each alert indicator (21) in succession. Also, all segments of bargraphs (20), central display (22) and MPM (23) will be shown simultaneously or individually.

Procedure To Use Mode 8

  1. Enter the EMC Lamp Test mode (Mode 8):

    1. Turn key start switch from OFF to ON.

    1. Press and hold "Setup/Select Key" (4) for three seconds.

    1. Press "Digit Set Key" (2) until Readout (1) shows "_ _ _ 8".

    1. Press and hold "Setup/Select Key" (4) for three seconds in order to enter Mode 8.

  1. The alert indicators (21) will now start to illuminate one at a time. All segments of displays (20), (22), and (23) should be ON.

  1. To view each segment of displays (20), (22), and (23) one at a time, press "Setup/Select Key" (4). Each segment will turn OFF and turn back ON one at a time until all segments have been tested. Bargraphs (20) will cycle first, followed by central display (22) and then MPM (23).

    Note: The left most digit of the hourmeter readout consists of two segments which act as one segment. These two segments turn OFF and ON at the same time.

  1. To return the EMC to service mode selection, press "Exit/Mode Key" (6) one time. To return the EMC to normal operation, press "Exit/Mode Key" (6) two times.
