Disassembly Procedure

Start By:
- Remove the pump drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Pump Drive - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.
- Remove gasket (2), the bolt and nut (3) from housing (1) .

- Remove bolt (4), washer (5) and shims (6) (not shown).

- Use a soft brass drift and carefully tap out idler shaft (8). Remove washer (10), two bearings (9) and idler gear (7) from housing (1) .

Note: Hold the idler gear in place while the idler shaft is being removed or the idler gear will fall.
- Use Tooling (B) and remove two bearing cups (11) from idler gear (7) .

- Use Tooling (C) and remove retaining ring (12) from idler gear (7) .

- Remove eight bolts (13) from cover (14) .

- Remove cover (14) from housing (1). Remove gasket (15) and gear (16) from housing (1) .

- Use Tooling (D) and remove bearing cup (17) (not shown) from cover (14) .
