Fuel Transfer Pump - Install

Usage:

517 5WW

Installation Procedure

  1. Inspect the O-ring seal for the fuel transfer pump. If the seal is damaged or worn, install a new seal. Install the O-ring seal on the fuel transfer pump.

  1. Put fuel transfer pump (3) in position on the fuel injection pump and install bolts (6) .

  1. Connect fuel lines (4) and (5) to fuel transfer pump (3) .

  1. Open the access door and push the knob for the fuel supply valve all the way inward in order to open the valve. Prime the fuel system.

    Note: Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7156, "Fuel System - Prime" for the proper procedure to prime the fuel system.

  1. Put engine access panel (1) in position and install six bolts (2) .
