  1. Apply 6V-6640 Sealant to the face of extension housing (13). Use tool (B) and a suitable lifting device to place the center housing (39) in place with extension housing (13). Install 28 bolts (40) to center housing (39). Tighten the four 20 mm bolts to a torque of 575 ± 80 N·m (425 ± 60 lb ft). Tighten the four 16 mm bolts to a torque of 300 ± 40 N·m (220 ± 30 lb ft). Tighten the twenty 12 mm bolts to a torque of 120 ± 20 N·m (90 ± 15 lb ft).

  2. Install the dipstick tube and dipstick (36) in the center housing.

  3. Position tube assemblies (28) and (29) on the machine. Install the bolt and nut (31) that holds clamp (32) to bracket (33). Install tube assemblies (28) and (29) on cooler bypass valve (30).

  4. Position the wire harnesses and battery cables in place. Install two bolts and washers (35) to bracket (34).

  5. Position tube assembly (25) on the machine and install bolt (27) in clip (26). Repeat for the other side.

  6. Position tube assembly (14) on the machine. Install tube assembly (14) to the hydraulic oil filter base (not shown).

    Note: The new hoses were carried out at the following serial number breaks: (S/N: 8DN265-UP; 1DR815-UP; 7DM1-UP).

  7. Use two lifting straps that are attached to a suitable lifting device. Install the pumps on the machine. Install nine bolts (22) in pump drive (23). Tighten bolts (22) to the torque of 100 ± 20 N·m (75 ± 15 lb ft).

  8. Position tube assembly (21) on the machine. Install tube assembly (21) on steering pump (2). Install tube assembly (20) on steering pump (2). Position suction tube (19) on the machine. Install eight bolts and washers (18) to cover (17) and charge pump (6).

  9. Install tube (15) in cover (17). Install banjo bolt (16) through tube (15) in implement pump (10). Tighten bolt (16) to the torque of 125 N·m (90 lb ft).

  10. Install tube assembly (14) to tube (15). Install hose assembly (12) to extension housing (13).

    Note: The new hoses were carried out at the following serial number breaks: (S/N: 8DN366-UP; 1DR900-UP; 7DM1-UP).

  11. Position hose assemblies (8) and (11) on the machine. Install tube assembly (8) to compensator valve (9). Install tube assembly (11) to implement pump (10).

  12. Position tube assembly (7) on steering pump (2). Install both ends of tube assembly (7).

  13. Install hose assembly (4) and tube assembly (5) to charge pump (6). Install electrical connection (3).

  14. Install two hose assemblies (1) to steering pump (2).

End By:

  1. Install the parking brake. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Parking Brake - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.

  2. Install the driven gear for the power take-off . Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Power Take-Off Driven Gear - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.

  3. Install the power take-off clutch. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Power Take-Off Clutch - Install"for the machine that is being serviced.

  4. Install the rockshaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Rock Shaft - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.

  5. Install the lower link. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hitch (Lower Link) - Remove and Install".

  6. Install the lift link. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hitch (Lift Link) - Remove and Install".

  7. Install the lift arm. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hitch (Lift Arm) - Remove and Install".

  8. Install the steering motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Motor - Install".

  9. Install the implement valve and the hitch valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Implement and Hitch Valve - Install".

  10. Install the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cab - Install".

  11. Install two rear axles. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Rear Axle - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
