Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Install the truck body retaining cable. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Truck Body Retaining Cable - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.

The space between the body and the frame becomes a zero clearance area when the body is lowered. Failure to install the retaining cable can result in injury or death to personnel working in this area.

1. Remove six bolts (1) and the six washers.

2. Remove cover assembly (2). The cover assembly weighs approximately 35 kg (77.2 lb).

1. Install cover assembly (2). The cover assembly weighs approximately 35 kg (77.2 lb).

2. Install the six washers and six bolts (1) .

End By: Disconnect the truck body retaining cable. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Truck Body Retaining Cable - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
