Start By:

  1. Remove the quick coupler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Quick Coupler- Remove and Install".
  2. Remove the front tilt levers and the front tilt links. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tilt Lever (Front) and Tilt Link (Front) - Remove and Install".
  3. Remove the attachment positioner. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Attachment Positioner Control - Remove and Install".
  4. Remove the tilt cylinders. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tilt Cylinder - Remove".
  5. Remove the rear tilt levers. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tilt Lever (Rear) - Remove".

  1. Remove two bolts (1) and the clip assemblies from both lift arms.

  1. Remove two bolts (4) from mounting blocks (3) .

  1. Remove bolt (5) and the clip assemblies from both lift arms. Reposition hydraulic hose assemblies (2) away from the lift arms.

  1. Use a hoist and a suitable lifting sling to support the rod end of lift cylinder (6) .

  1. Remove bolt (8) and pin (7). Lower the rod end of lift cylinder (6) away from the lift arms.

  1. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for the remaining lift cylinder.

  1. Fasten a hoist and suitable lifting slings to lift arms (8), as shown.

  1. Use Tooling (A) to support lift arms (9) .

  1. Remove bolt (8) and the washer from pin (6) .

  1. Remove grease fitting (7) from pin (6) .

    Typical Example

  1. Install Tooling (B) on pin (6) .

  1. Use Tooling (B) to remove pin (6). Repeat Steps 9 through 12 for the opposite side of the machine.

  1. Use a hoist to remove lift arms (9). The weight of lift arms (9) is 1016 kg (2240 lb).

  1. Remove lip seals (10), (11), (12), (13), and (14) from both sides of each lift arm.

  1. Use Tooling (C) to remove sleeve bearing (15) .

  1. Use Tooling (D) to remove sleeve bearing (16) .

  1. Use Tooling (E) to remove sleeve bearing (17) .

  1. Use Tooling (F) to remove sleeve bearing (18) .

  1. Use Tooling (G) to remove sleeve bearing (19) .

  1. Repeat Steps 15 through 20 for the opposite lift arm.
