Leave Bolts Installed If Removing Front Counterweight Bracket Caterpillar

Leave Bolts Installed If Removing Front Counterweight Bracket

Usage:

AGRICULTURAL TRACTORSCHALLENGER 35 (8RD, ADK),
CHALLENGER 45 (ABF, 3BK),
CHALLENGER 55 (6NN, AEN) AGRICULTURAL TRACTORS

Problem:

When removing the counterweight brackets on 1999 model year Rowcrop Challengers, the bolts, if not reinstalled, can cause the support plate under the radiator to shift. This can cause contact of the fan to the shroud and failure to the fan, shroud, fan belt or other related components.

Solution:

When removing the counterweight bracket, make sure to reinstall the bolts shown in illustration 1. In addition, check the alignment of the radiator in relation to the fan to ensure that clearance exists.
