Intermittent "Soft Brake Pedal"

Usage:

TELESCOPIC HANDLERSTH62 (4TM, 3LN),

TH103 (3PN) TELESCOPIC HANDLERS

Problem:

REPORTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL ON THE ABOVE MACHINES MAY HAVE A "SOFT" FEEL AFTER SETTING FOR A FEW HOURS OR OVERNIGHT.

Solution:

ENGINEERING IS INVESTIGATING THIS PROBLEM. UNTIL A FINAL SOLUTION IS FOUND IT IS SUGGESTED THAT THESE STEPS BE TAKEN:

1. CHECK THE BRAKE PACK ADJUSTMENT THE CORRECT INTERVAL FOR THIS IS INITIAL 250 SMU ON NEW OR REBUILT BRAKE PACKS AND EVERY 500 SMU THERE AFTER.
2. ADJUST BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT.
3. CHECK 7T1587 AXLE BREATHERS TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE NOT PLUGGED.
4. BLEED BRAKE SYSTEM.
