137-9822 Sonic Sensor For Feeder System May Not Perform Adequately

Usage:

PAVING PRODUCTSAP-650B (9DN),
BG-225C (5GN) ASPHALT PAVER

Problem:

Several complaints have been registered with the use of sonic sensors for the feeder system on the above two machine models. Some of these complaints have stated that when the screed extension is widened out, the auger does not accelerate properly and the head of material in front of the screed decreases.

Solution:

The problem is currently under investigation. In the interim, if performance problems are detected, it is recommended that the 118-3465 Paddle Feeder Controls be installed as a temporary repair.
