Difficult Installation Of Counterweight Retainer Rods Caterpillar

Difficult Installation Of Counterweight Retainer Rods

Usage:

TRACK-TYPE TRACTORS583R (2XS1-UP) PIPELAYERS

Problem:

The retainer rod holes in the counterweight assemblies may be too small. The retainer rods may not be able to pass through the counterweight slabs into the counterweight frame assembly during installation.

Solution:

The counterweight assemblies 134-9958 and 134-9959 can be modified by increasing the size of the retainer rod holes. The diameter should be increased from 70.0 mm (2.76 inch) to 105.0 mm (4.13 inch).
