Problem:
There have been reported cases where the vibratory control switch on the top of the 1G4704 Grip Assembly has failed due to water entering through a damaged rubber cap covering this switch. In addition, this switch and rubber cap were not available separately, only as part of the complete 1G4704 Grip Assembly.
Solution:
Improvements have been made to both the vibratory control switch and the rubber cap covering it. These improved parts are now being used in production and can directly replace the previous used parts.
All the individual parts of the 1G4704 Grip Assembly are now available as service items and the drawing attached gives all the part numbers.
