Problem:
Several machines have had a problem with the side window latch sticking and therefore not holding one window open against the other.
Solution:
The latch mechanism has been modified to incorporate a new stainless steel spring design that will not bind-up on itself and therefore will always provide tension on the latch arm to retain the windows.
The part number for the new latch assembly is 1432830 and this services all components of the old latch.
This solution is in production at Leicester plant from December 12, 1996 and from the following serial numbers:
