Usage:
Problem:
Some early C Series All Wheel Steer (AWS) machines had some interaction which affected the lift function and also the steer circuit. The machines in the field are being addressed by a Service Letter. The fix was in production from 1TR00462 on. The fix consisted of a new HMU, a priority valve spring and stem.
In production, some machines in the 1TR00462-00560 range did not get the latest spring. All machines were checked in plant and tested OK before shipment.
Solution:
If the original fault recurs on the above machines, replace the steer priority spring using the latest spring, part No.1034754. There was also concern about the tolerance of the orifice in the new stem, part No.1438317. If the orifice is out of tolerance, it can also cause a problem. All stems now have the orifice made to the correct tolerance.
