Dump Body Mounted Mud Deflectors (Mud Flaps) Are Available To Prevent Mud From Being Thrown On The Back Of The Tractor {4220}

Usage:


D250E (5TN),
D300E (7FN),
D350E (9LR),
D400E (2YR) Articulated Trucks

Dump body mounted mud deflectors (mud flaps) are available to keep mud from being thrown onto the rear of the tractor.

The attachment body mounted mud flaps can be installed on all D250E (5TN), D300E (7FN), D350E (9LR) and D400E (2YR) Articulated Trucks. Use the following method to install the body mounted mud flaps.

D250E Articulated Trucks

1. If necessary, fabricate four mounting plates from 8.0 mm (.31 in) thick mild steel using the dimensions in Illustration 1.

2. Weld the fabricated plates to the sides of the dump body with a 6.0 mm (.24 in) fillet weld all around. The location of the fabricated plates is shown in Illustrations 2 and 3.

3. Install the mud deflectors and mounting plates as shown in Illustration 4.

D300E Articulated Trucks

1. If necessary, fabricate four mounting plates from 8.0 mm (.31 in) thick mild steel using the dimensions in Illustration 1 and the dimensions chart in the D250E Articulated Truck portion of this article.

2. Weld the fabricated plates to the sides of the dump body with a 6.0 mm (.24 in) fillet weld all around. The location of the fabricated plates is shown in Illustrations 5 and 6.

3. Install the mud deflectors and mounting plates as shown in Illustration 7.

D350E Articulated Trucks

1. If necessary, fabricate four mounting plates from 8.0 mm (.31 in) thick mild steel using the dimensions in Illustration 1 and the dimensions chart in the D250E Articulated Truck portion of this article.

D400E Articulated Trucks
