--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------

Description of Change: New bearings are being used in the 118-2282 Transfer Gear Group (output transfer gear group). The new bearing cone and bearing cup are a larger diameter than the former bearing and require a new 129-5309 Carrier Assembly and a 129-5311 Piston Housing.

Adaptable To: The improved 5J-3948 Bearing Cone, 5J-3947 Bearing Cup and related carrier assembly and piston housing, are in effect with D250E (5TN318-377, 379-380, 385-Up) and D300E (7FN1-Up) Articulated Trucks. The new bearing cone, bearing cup and related carrier assembly and piston housing can be installed on earlier D250E (5TN1-317, 378, 381-384), D20D (9MG1-Up) and D250D (6NG1-Up) Articulated Trucks. The former bearings are still serviced.

The location of the new parts are shown in the illustration.

NOTE: When installing the new bearings and related parts, install a new 6T-0840 Internal Piston Seal Ring and a 8D-9738 External Piston Seal Ring, shown in the illustration.
