Window hold back latches on all C-Series Backhoe Loaders may stick. Removal, disassembly, and adjustment of the components of the latch will improve it's operation.

1. Remove hold back latch (B) from window (D) (Illustration 2) by removing two locknuts (4), two screws (5), retainer (2), and retainer (3) (Illustration 1).
2. Remove any plastic "flash" from retainer (2) and (3).
3. Sand the cylinder pivot faces (A) Illustration 1 to remove any separation "flash" present.
4. Sand cylinder pivot diameters, if necessary, to remove any "flash" or rough spots on diameter surface.
5. Clean parts.
6. Apply 9U-6331 or 1U-8268 Lubricant - Bonded Dry Film to all internal window latch parts prior to assembly.
7. Reassemble latch to window. Make sure the two retainers (2) and (3) are aligned prior to tightening retaining screws (5).
